Hey, MacLeod get off of my ewe.

I see what you did there...

Would you please help me with failure to run issues?

I've put on new intake manifold to airbox boots, secured with stainless steel tie wraps (radiator clamps were too wide for the groove).

My theory is that I have good seal around them, since now when I try to start it, if I spray starting fluid around the boots, it no longer "coughs" like it was trying to start. With the old cracked boots, it would cough, but not stay running.

Also a new S-clamp installed, new air filter. Top and bottom of the rim where the the air filter goes between cleaned well.

Attached is a .wav file of me trying to start. You can hear the fuel pump kick on, after I turn the key to On.

Reminder, I've never heard this Brick run, so a previous owner may have disconnected something obvious I'm overlooking.

It's been in the ultrasonic cleaner for several hours over the weekend, and now looks like this. Still a work in progress.

The rust dissolver solution I am using is breaking it down, but there is sticky old gas residue in there too, which needs scraping off. However, the electric contacts are now clear of rust and I can confirm there is a good circuit to the low fuel lamps and the fuel pump, which is progress. Before cleaning there were a solid mess of rust and were probably shorting out on each other due to that.

Not finished yet, but happy with what I have achieved so far.

Also, there's a troubleshooting guide at k100 forum/tech page/electrical/troubleshooting the EFI (English) for the fuel injection computer, air flow metre, lots of other sensors, and heaps more.

Awesome to hear you're enjoying the brick. It's astounding how many miles these bikes can rack up.
