I hope I don't get too much grief from you guys for changing my K1100, but it's a work in progress! Thanks for letting me in the group!

New to me, I bought this bike near the Queensland border and rode it home to Sydney last week. Loving it so far :) It was imported from Japan with a Japan market single seat and tail storage.
Looks great. Not a bad maiden voyage!

Thanks for the feedback, I made the hugger myself after getting advice from a copper that I should have a guard. The problem I found was how to mount a strong guard. 3 1/4 exhaust pipe sleeves the shock perfectly and a hand glasses guard later here we are!!

SOOOO FINALLY took my brickie for a weekend ride. We covered a tad over 1000km. Some hwy riding close to max speed but mostly local scenic roads.
I confirm the stock seat is crap on anything over 300km :)
My LT sipped 5l/100km up to 100km/h and 6.3l sitting at 150-160.
Good news the oil pump and rear seal stopped leaking as they heated up proper good. Bad news the clutch slips really noticeably. New disc will be on the way. Both fork legs leak like crazy.

Seems like these bikes do not like being left at standstill...

This is me and my completely stock 93 k1100lt. MY friend's tiger xc in the background. Lovely weekend we had.

Nice...they definitely prefer to be ridden!  Change the fork oil and clean with this, they may seal.  The land there looks very similar to eastern Kansas, USA :bmwsmile .

Looks like Ace found the prodigal battery cover.

You may want to devise a tether system for those battery covers as one of them has already made an escape.  Seems to be a not uncommon issue with the S model.

New to me 95 K75. Paint was poor so it was due for a refresh. I took it apart and Brent Budgor from Vintage Vendor resprayed it in 68’ Ford Highland green. Same color as Steve McQueen’s mustang from Bullitt. Pictures don’t do it justice.

That's a good looking color and set up, Cory. Consider installing a pair of Rancho fork boots if you drive the back roads up here. It keeps the fork tubes from getting dinged then damaging the seals.

Did you replace the camshaft cover?

Thanks guys. I have not replaced the cover yet. Debating on taking it off and trying to sand it down. I am somewhat weary of buying a used one offline without seeing it first.

Hi team,

New bricker here from the currently snowy coast of Maine.  I recently acquired this gem from Tom M (formerly of Country Rode in Rochester).   He made a very gentlemanly deal.  Truth is, I was on the hunt for a donor K75 and planned on doing this kit myself (Unit Garage Marrakech Scrambler).  Tom rendered that option obsolete.

The bike s ready to go now, but I do have some PIAA 530s incoming and will be looking for suitable hand-guards.

I hope my stay here is mutually beneficial.  I'll keep my trap shut until I have something worthy to add.

Interesting bike there, gumbo.  The aux lights and drum brake make me think it may have started life as a K75T, then someone replaced the windshield with an R90s clone and added the K75s belly fairing.  Looks good.
