Greetings, more data than pictures. I reckon you've seen enough pictures of quaint coastal towns, lovely wooded hillsides, rural charm and roadside attractions. Instead i offer the trip data as recorded by my TomTom GPS.
I sent the wife up to Providence, RI via Delta airlines to visit family.
I followed up on the K1100 several days later and stayed long enough to wear out my welcome.
Spouse and I left RI heading south by west and rode through parts of CT, NY, PA, MD, WV and then home to VA.
We were blessed with great weather and little traffic.
I tried to avoid interstates and stay on secondary roads for most of the trip, probably spent 150 miles on the "slab".
Two towns worth a visit:
Williamsport, PA (home to baseball's Little League World Series) nestled amongst the hills of central PA.
Staunton, VA (home to the Statler Borthers of country music fame) gateway to Shenandoah/Blue Ridge.
Both towns had charm and appeal plus some surprisingly good eats!
Scenery was lovely, weather was great and roads were mostly my own. Tis one of the joys of being retired nand able to travel mid-week.
Ride on!
