Looks like photo bucket is shutting down image linking to external sites.


Please be aware if you've used photobucket in the past you may need to update any threads you've added images to.

Speaking for myself, between this site and others I've posted to, I'm not going back 10 years worth to update.

I have all of my images, and I've deleted my PB account. It won't be long and PB will be bought out or just die after the shit they pulled. I just got the TOS notification email yesterday.....for the changes they made 3 weeks ago.

If someone wants something specific, ask and I'll update it, otherwise they are gone.

It's a real pain the the arse that PhotoBucket became "PhotoFucket" in one day.

is that only pics linked from "free" pbucket accounts?

I have thousands of pbucket pics linked on multiple forums.  they all still work, so far.  i pay for my pbucket account.

According to their new Terms Of Service, the ONLY paid account that will allow linking of photos is the $399 per year account(the most expensive)
My guess that they started with the free accounts and are working their way thru the remaining accounts.

I just noticed one this morning that the user was a paid user and his photos are now gone....so I think its just a matter of time, they will get to yours too if you aren't paying for the most expensive account.

according to the terms....users with a "plus" account(paid) as of 1june2017, will have 3rd party image hosting active until DEC2018.


sooo...one more year until all the pics in my K75 refresh threads go "dead"....
