What lubrication do you recommend for the throttle tube gears? Where the throttle tube meets the pulley that connects to the chain, that connects to the throttle cable. All of this that sits under the front brake master cylinder.
A couple of years ago, when I took mine apart for initial inspection, I cleaned out all of the old, and put in synthetic molybenum (i.e. axle) grease. It seems to have thickened up, and I think contributed to a 'stickiness' in the throttle. WD-40 or silicon spray seems inadequate. I don't think graphite powder will stay. I'm leaning towards Lithium (white-yellow) grease.
I may be banned for heresy, but perhaps Staburags is not the answer here?
