Does anyone know if BMW still takes new engines off the production line and runs them hard?
Think it was in Mick Walker and Peter Dobson's book on K's that that said BMW randomly pulled a Brick engine off the line, and ran it at redline for 24 hours, just to see if anything broke, and needed re-designed.
About 41 minutes in to you can see a Tech take an S1000 in to a dyno cell and run it through the gears.
