And a really quick thing someone could help me out with.
red + green wires in ignition (key) switch when connected will start the bike, what are the other two wires for in the switch, grey stripe and grey wires??

Edit: So I've checked out a wiring diagram and G+L & G wires from ignition (key) switches go to additional eqpt and fuse box, so in wiring in a new key switch, would these two wires make a connection?

Hi Mate See diagram below. The ignition switch is double pole see Diagram below. When ON red connects to green and red and GR/BL connects to GR for the lights. Red can also connect to GR for the Parking light mode on the switch.
