Motorcycle International Shipping NYC
« on: June 14, 2020, 01:03:51 PM »
Hey guys,

I am wondering if anybody knows of any good international shipping companies to contact out of the NYC area.

I am moving home to Australia next month and I am thinking about maybe shipping my K75s home if I can make it cost effective and get a permit from Aus to import.

I just posted my bike up for sale as well.

Juts contacted this lot.

Will see what they come up with for a quote also could ship some household stuff with the bike in the same container potentially.

Also check with the airline.

When I bought my brick in Germany in 1996, I shipped it to from Hamburg to Toronto by boat. They built a crate for it. It came, unharmed, about 3 weeks later, and cost me about $1,000 at that time. (Then I had to take it to the BMW dealer where they approved it for use in Canada by removing the headlight switch and adding some reflectors - a couple hundred bucks if I recall).

I found out afterwards that Air Canada would have taken it on the flight I was on, for $800.00.

Things may well have changed since then of course!
