WTB: Z rack triangular mounting piece for K75
« on: June 25, 2016, 01:07:00 PM »
I am looking for the rubber mounting for the left Z rack for my K75.

The part number is 18211454982. There was already one on my bike, but the two prongs are too long (not designed for Z racks). What I need is the one with the smaller prongs, so as to keep the muffler mounting position the same.

I am located in Halifax, Canada. If you have one for sale, please include the shipping price.

Thank you.

Cut them or grind them to fit?

Hey mw074! Good to hear from you.

I thought of doing that, but I didn't know if there were any other differences in the mounting pieces. If that's all that needs to be done, I will definitely give that a go.

Has anyone tried it that you know of?

No, I don't know of that problem, but common sense dictates. " Measure twice, cut once. "

OK, the part number that you need is # 18 21 1 454 981. Looks like it is no problem to shorten it. Compare the pictures in the parts fiche.

I have both brackets. Shorten the one that you have by 5 mm and you will be good to go. There is no other difference between the two.
