Hi there, i have an 86 k75. I changed the battery, charged it and then let the bike be for a couple of weeks. When I wanted to start it the charge was low so I jump started the bike. It went great. I let it run and rode for a while ( 20mn)as i wanted the oil to heat up so i can change it. When it was idling it suddenly stopped and I could no start it again. The cluster lights are not even coming on ( the clock comes on and goes off..). I charged the battery again with a battery tender but nothing happens now..I have no idea what that might be..?
Ignition switch or shall ? look elsewhere?
Thanks guys for any help
Cheers!

Checking the voltage at the ignition switch connector (under the tank) would be a good start.
Red wire input, green wire output.

If it's OK,....no voltage drop.........the next in line would be the kill switch.
RHS switch assy connector you also find under the tank, green wire input, green/yellow output.

A good battery would be around 12,5 V,....but a voltage drop is what you are looking for.
I now see that you also loosing power to the clock, .....then you don't need to measure
for voltage drop at the kill switch......it's most likely that it's the ig.switch that is the problem.

If you measure low voltage allready at the ignition switch input when you turn on the ignition,
you must check the battery connections....also ground, at both ends of the wire(s).
