I bought this stuff to fix a leak in a PVC pipe in our hot tub. It worked great, no more leak.
Then I started to think about the broken tab on my knee pad. Could this stuff repair/rebuild it?

I tested the material as directed by dipping my finger in and rubbing on the knee pad. If it gets tacky you can use it as glue but it didn't. I don't know what BMW used to make these things but it's not plastic but I pressed on to see if it would work. I was going to just build up the missing area but decided to enclose/encompass the remaining portion of the tab to make sure it stuck.
Cleaned up the area with a wire brush on the dremmel, then mixed up the ch!t in the supplied cup.

This stuff starts out really runny and gradually gets thicker until you can just pick it up and mold it. Here's my first attempt.

Corner was too rounded so I mixed a little more and added it to the corner so the screw would have enough material to bite.

Takes less than 15 min to harden and then I used my HF drill press ($39) to put the hole in it.

Here it is installed. I could have added color if this tab was going to show and made it prettier on the grinder but in here no one will notice anyway.
