catz xlo still the best?

I see that there is a set of the acid orange Catz XLO lights on flea-bay.  Are these the same lights that were so widely praised back in 2012, and if so are they still considered to be better conspicuity lights than modern leds?  The asking price has gone up to just a hair short of $300...thanks

I've been using cheap 10 watt LED spotlights that I get on eBay on all my bikes for about 7 years now with no problems.  They go for about $30 a pair and you can see them from a couple miles away.
