+1. Memories of paying questionable characters outside the 7-11 to score an 8 pack for us underage delinquents.

We went for Colt 45 or MD 20/20. more bang for the buck, but sometimes we got took by the questionable characters at Chees "food" store.

Friday and Saturday evenings spent loitering in front of Snider's Food Mart waiting for somebody's older brother to come by. Thirty-nine cents got you a quart of Schlitz, but if you were really flush, forty-five cents got you a quart of Colt.
Three years later a buck got a bottle of Mad Dog or Red Lady to drink with the brothers down in the 'hood.

Hey neighbor, have a gansett!
Rhode Island brewed, limited distribution throughout New England.
Brewery has been bought, sold, bankrupt several times over.
Going strong once again thanks, in part, to craft brewing craze.
Everybody's dad had a case in the cellar!
