cataclysms on the colombian...
the mighty columbian river... rolling the north end of orogoons riding paradise... at least its riding paradise in the spring whens its green and cool... today... brown and 100+ degrees...
or 19... the john day highway rolling from arlington south... lotts o fan installing going on here...
came accross a truck scale... wondered what kind of punishment we are inflicting on the fine west coast asphalt...
now this motobrick is fully loaded with all of our gear... cold gear... hot gear... wet gear... dry gear... a gallon of water in the tank bag... and of course a very svelte rider and passenger...
front tire...
rear tire...
the whole deal...
lotts o combine action today...
first look at a little yeeehaaaa...
before cresting the ridge i was smelling something burning... i stopped to investigate... micki said she thought someone was burning trash... but there nothing out here but wheat fields... once over the hill... everything on the left was burned up...
the burned fields went on for miles... come to find out it was a dry lightening hit that set it off...
getting close to fossil or...
grubbing in fossil or...
j o... b n g...
m o... oat pancakes...
or 218 from shaniko to fossil... o my... this is a must ride... smooth black asphalt... clean road... a mix of sweeper madness and some peg scrapers... and the scenery was really interesting...
rolling or 19 to rowe canyon rd...
rowe canyon rd... this was a delighful road... a short section of chip seal rock and then full on yeeeeeeehaaaaa... note... there are big piles of chip seal rock... they are gonna do it... f up the whole road...
fishing the pristine waters of rural orogoon...
some big mofo thistles...
rolling up or 207 to spray...
green grass for mr donkey...
on the road to hepner... thru the woods and into the desert... sweepers galore....
now it goes to he11... saw a sign... said it was a short cut... plotted it on the map...
after miles of highspeed woopties... no photos... m o was holding on like a moe... it went to gravel...
miles and miles of good gravel...
then it went to deep anti motobrick gravel... i thought this maybe my last offering to mother nature... 100 + degrees... running out of water... running out of gas... no hope in sight...
the orogoon trail it was... so be it...
well there was one death today... my left grip puppy...
the pheasant... arlington or...
huckleberry... any questions...
it was a yeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaa day... good roads and interesting places... we really dig orogoon...
there you go...
