WTB: Front Fender Extension
« on: January 18, 2023, 02:21:38 PM »
I'm looking for the little black fender extension here.
If anyone has a lead to where I can buy it new, let me know. Or I'll take a used one.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

There is also the custom solution as described and depicted in this thread developed and seasoned in tropical heat by Martin.  icon_cheers

I have no leads on one currently available for sale to help you out, but the part number for the NLA OEM one for two piece fenders like the one you posted in the pic is 46611469330.  I picked one up on eBay a bit over a decade ago, but it took some time for one to turn up.

That looks like a good candidate for 3d printing.  If I am not mistaken, Surlyn is a trade name for a type of polyethylene which should be pretty easy to 3d print.

Didn't somebody make one of these out of a bucket? If I recall? I believe cut a segment out and bolted it on. Looked pretty good!

Yes, I have done it and Matthew in Brisbane is the one who invented the bucket mudguard extension.  A cheap waste basket from the Dollar store and a couple minutes with shears will make a nice one.

Martin,  Ummm... It's a lucky guess when I know what day it is.  I have to find my driver's license in the morning to know what my name is.

Hey, at least I remembered the name started with an M and had an A and a T and you were from Brisbane.  So I guess a few brains cells are still working.
