Once upon a time I had a tank cover on my K100RS. It covered the entire tank with a black vinyl with a cloth interior. Was quilted on the sides where your knees would be. Want to say it was a Luftmeister accessory but not really sure. Can't find a picture of one anywhere.
Anyone remember those? I would like to have another one to protect the tank from the BMW tankbag OR suggestions on how you protect your tank when running the BMW tankbag on K1100RS.
Thanks!

Tank covers are made by Bagster Japan available of Ebay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BAGSTER-Tank-Cover-BMW-K1100RS/162895828649?

Put a towel between the tank and base plate for the tank bag.

Bagster doesn’t work with the BMW tank bag. Already looked at that.

Hi mop head
Why not buy a bagster tank cover they still make them. In the uk you can get them here

I’m sure they would export

Buy both the Bagster tank cover and the bag to go with it. Or you might just have to keep on hunting the elusive OEM one. Alternatively a good upholsterer should be able to get the BMW bag to fit the Bagster cover.

Thanks. I'll think about that. Approaching accessory spend that is more than I paid for the bike.

Cheapest fix, join the local sewing circle. Look sad and maybe someone will help you make what you want.
