Hello all!
« on: August 26, 2011, 09:10:12 PM »
I purchased my first K Bike back on 8/25/2011, it's a 95' K1100LT with 44k on the odometer. Due to the heat here in Tulsa I only rode it twice, then 3wks ago while at work I had a heart attack, good thing was it was a blood clot and they were able to remove it. So far my doc doesn't believe much damage was done to my heart if any. The down side was I bled out really bad when they pulled the arterial line and it will be a while before I'll be able to ride again. I did push the bike out today and started it, I was expecting quite a cloud of smoke since it has been sitting on its side stand for the past month, but no smoke showed, it started right up and just purred. :)  Note to Gwen your posts have truly been an inspiration during my recovery, thanks, and what a ride that was.

Congrats on being a survivor and on the new K. Some of the best rehab is riding and the friends you enjoy it with. It sounds like she has your interest to keep her ready to roll as soon as your able.

Safe travels and good luck with the mending!

Here's hoping you're back in the saddle soon. '95 with 44K? Wow, nice ride. Please post a pic or two of her here.

I couldn't agree more: riding is wonderful therapy.  Here's hoping you can do it soon and often! We should be approaching a nice weather window now when it may be just about perfect.  Not too hot, and not too cold.
