BBG is Bun Burner Gold - 1500 miles in 24 hours or less (I did 1590 in 23 hours)
SSG2000 is 2000 miles in 36 hours or less (I did 2111 in 33 hours)
BBG3000 is 3000 miles in 48 hours or less (Have not done one of these yet ... but the BBG was probably the hardest ride I have done so far, harder than the SSG2000 I did, pushing that double would really be tough)

Google maps says takin' the 7 to the 12 adds an hour but is 20 miles shorter...WTF!

BTW, you Metal Butt Riders are F-ing nuts! :yes

Looks like a gas stop/detour.

IBA takes the shortest route unless you can prove your route.  I personally would have taken the 20 less miles hit and gone the faster route.  Although, they may accept her SPOT for verification and then she gets the miles.  We will need to ask her strategy.

And ... if we have to explain it, you wouldn't understand.  :neener:  But don't ask, because I honestly don't know why I do it either, I just keep doin' it anyway.

Way to go!

Back in '71 I taught a great woman how to ride with my '68 Bonneville.
She later used that knowledge to borrow a small Honda to ride from Phnom Penh to Singapore.
Put a woman on a motorcycle and she will do great things.

We almost past each other, I just came back from AMA Vintage days in Ohio, travel back almost the same route as you on Sunday and Monday.  Wind was bad in North Dakota, but had a tail wind in Minnesota, which helped mileage!

Drink lots of Gatoraide to hydrate!

I texted her and was going to intercept east of Couer d Alene ID....badly misjudged her ground speed and saw she got by me but I managed to run her down at the Mobil station at the 272 exit. She was alert and rested....got 6 hours of shuteye last night. This was between 12:20 and it was 13:20 when I left her. She just hit Ellensburg. She's got til 5:30ish tomorrow AM to reach the coast.

Good thing she had to stop for gas...I would've never caught her!

Oh yea...this little detour we wondered about....

There was a car on fire...no one getting by.....she backtracked wrong way on the shoulder to hit the 7 and she was off again. :hehehe

She was pretty sure it didn't cost her any time. :riding:
