I was born and bred in RI, not in a mansion by the sea unfortunately, but in a town not far from Central Falls (which had the highest number of bars per capital in the USA). I don't miss the humidity or the rough roads. I rode back last summer to visit family and stopped at Twisted Throttle to get out of the 98-degree weather and was disappointed.

Keep riding north into MA and VT for some good twisties.

me too! Cumberland in fact.
I did ride north, Berkshires in MA, Green MT in VT and then on in to NY state via ferry from Burlington, VT.
spent a day in Lake Placid at Olympic Village, site of 1932 and 1980 winter olympics. if you're a hockey fan than you have to visit Herb Brooks Arena and stop at the museum (it's not a grand museum by any stretch but worth a look). They have the "miracle on ice" game constantly streaming.
no pics cause i left camera in tank bag which i left at in-laws house in exeter, RI.
LAME, i know.
cheers
