It does not work with the clutch lever pulled in… I’ll have to check about the neutral indicator light

The starter is interlocked so the transmission has to be in Neutral or the clutch lever pulled in.  Sometimes there is a problem in the instrument cluster with the neutral interlock.  In that case pulling in the clutch lever will allow the starter to work.

Have you tried starting with the clutch lever pulled in?  If that works, there is a problem with the neutral.  Is the bike in Neutral? Is the green neutral indicator light on when you try to start?

Hello, I am unable to start my 1991 BMW K 75S. I have replaced the battery, starter relay, and the starter. I am able to bump start it, and ride it around no problem, however, when I press the starter button, I get nothing. No click from the relay, and the headlight does not dim. What could be my issue?

UPDATE:

Got the engine started a few weeks ago.  DIY injector service and new fuel pump/sender
Sorted out a charging issue
Pulled the gearbox and inspected the Clutch which was not working.
Reinstalled parts.
Took to get inspected by government and got plate/tags (today)

Can hardly wait to get my K Bike merit badge.

Only one hammer? They're sharing resources and saving the planet, bless their little hearts!

Bless the dwarfs!

Anywho. My best guess based on really not much to go with is the camshaft pushing the valve tops of the exhaust valves since theyre synced with the exhaust puffing. Why and how, i dont know. Maybe a lack of lubrication on that side.
Id advice would be to find the sound origin yourself and film that, maybe even with some throttle usage to see if it speeds up.

I stopped in a local motorbike garage and asked if they had some old shims from their stock. They have a huge box of various sizes of the Kawasaki 29 mm shims. I didn't care new or used and bought them quite inexpensively. I tested sizes with caliper and rechecked valve clearances after reassembly.
