changing the coolant temperature sensor on a 1985 KRT100

Any words of wisdom you can share before I attempt this?  I bought a genuine Bosche sensor and am ready to go.....

Thoroughly clean the sensor's engine block seating surface and threads in the engine block and because they are the sensor's ground connection. Remember to use the sealing ring that comes with it.

  Wow!  that was a great link!  I followed another link that explained all the problems that a bad temperature sensor can cause, and I think I have all of them!  Bad fuel mileage, difficulty cold starting etc.  Cant wait to see what happens when I replace.
