Nice work! What's the one piece seat pan/cowl made out of? Also, the exhaust on the right side looks great.

That's a great looking cafe racer and it's evident you put a lot of time and effort into it.

Clip ons and a cut rear frame don't mean your bike is a "cafe racer"

The correct answer is that K bikes are simply too big, too heavy, and not nimble to be considered true cafe bikes, but can certainly be made to look sharp as a big  "cafe replica". Nothing over 500-600c.c. is truly a "cafe".
There, is that what you were saying, F14? Then I agree with you, like, it might have similar anatomy to a cafe, but not the same heart. Still is a beautiful custom motorcycle! :2thumbup:

Hi, thanks for the comments. The instruments are held in using custom made brackets I made in the shed. I do realise that a true cafe racer is probably more like a 500cc single cylinder with a single seat, loud exhaust and no mud-guards etc. Maybe this is like a naked K streetfighter?

It is more a streetfighter specially with the mt 03 or urban lsl headlight. Better a great looking streetfighter than a bad looking cafe racer.

So, after building this bike I went to get it licensed for the road. Not so easy here in NZ! They didn't like the fact I had cut the rear sub-frame and supposedly compromised the structural integrity of the bike :nono . So I have 'repaired' the frame and will post an updated photo of the bike soon...... yipee!

Bummer! Sorry to hear that. I'm glad you mentioned it, tho, because my bike is currently on non-op here in CA and I should probably take it off before I do any serious customizing. Thanx for the heads up!

Big Brother knows best. :grimreaper:

Please post a photo of the frame that got rejected, Bikernut, so we can try to understand the MOT reasoning or post one of the repair and describe what you did—or both.

This part of the frame circled in red had to be 'Reattached/Repaired' for it to be legal and also the new tail end now.
