Sold for $9,500.

BAT is cleverly set up to encourage bidding wars. Within the last two minutes if anyone bids then it resets the countdown to two minutes. This K went up $2,200 at the end.

Mar 23 at 2:03 PM $9,500 bid
Mar 23 at 1:33 PM $7,300 bid

I hope Ebay never figures this out. :nono2:

I've sold parts on eBay that had a frenzy of bids the last 30 sec, be nice if they adapted a system like that.  At least if you're a seller.

I'm sure Ebay has considered it and decided not to. Near as I can tell Ebay wants to be a buyer-friendly environment to encourage repeat buying. Extended bidding wars like that would cause people to spend more than they really want to. And then they'd swear off using Ebay ever again.

Back when I was buying parts for a lot of different projects I got pretty good at sniping with bids in the last 2 seconds of an auction.  Stole a lot of stuff at good prices that way.

I just use sniping sites. Much easier.
