Could only find one K1 when I did a search on Craig's list...

...but I did find an ad for another K1 "cafe/scrambler".  :hehehe

$5750 for yellow K1 wheels and swingarm vs. $6 for a can of yellow Rustoleum.

So that was it. All you had to write in your original post was that you didn't know how to make links to websites, BAMBAM. That's understandable.

Here are a couple ways to do it. Highlight the web address of the page you want to link. If you have a Mac press ⌘ and C together to copy it then press ⌘ and V together to paste it where you want it, and there it will be. With Windows use ctrl C and ctrl V for the same thing.

I had a R100CS when the K1s came out. I remember it was a big deal, because BMW finally built a bike with more than 100HP. It was going to change everything and let them compete with the Japanese bikes of the day. The full-wrap fairing and aerodynamics were shockingly cool - heck even yellow wheels were cool at the time (this is when every strip mall in america was pink and teal). These are historically significant bikes - but somebody should ride the piss out of them.

I think it may be fair to say, too, that many seemingly clapped-out Ks are also being restored to cafe status which could continue demand for a supply of engine, driveline parts, steering and other critical parts. That may good for all of us.

Or convert a Karmann Ghia into a beer cooler.
