Motorbike museum visit

Took my k-bike to a local bike museum and met up with a large riding group.  Not much interest in the k75s surprisingly apart from 1 or 2 older rider who showed interest, they are quite rare in my parts.  Last pic, old and new.

Its usually the older guys who notice the K's.  The guys who were in their 30s and 40s when the Ks came out and they couldnt afford them back then, but they stayed on their "one day" list.  Its the same guys that get mad when some of us cut them up these days to make cafe racers and scramblers.  Nothing rides like a k75 tho, so enjoy what others just dont know.

Ha ha, bought mine in my 30's  (choice between a cheap car or a nice bike) rode the piss out of it for 35 years.  It was the right choice.

The K75s is a sublime machine, with exotic good looks ... like the Sophia Loren of motorcycling. Add the dependability of Mrs. Cleaver or Mary Poppins, and it's a formidable mix. Rider's often notice the bike, but don't know how to relate to it. Oh, the mystery and enigma that is a K75.

I'll update this for my Gen X folks....its a mix of Ginger and Mary Ann!

Installed the engine cowl as I have just done an oil change.   I should fit the tragkorb and get some photos of it complete.
