Should I take this K on?
« on: March 25, 2022, 09:20:27 PM »
I'd like another bike so my brother can ride with me when he visits and because my R!!00 is loneiy. . I've been looking for a 75C but
this isn't too far from me and really close to where my dad is in AL, so I could visit . I've been following the sale for awhile, I don't remember what it started at but I think over a thousand. offered $500 a while ago, I guess he's ready to be realistic and offered it to me for $650. Is it worth the 2 hour drive? The no title is a red flag, I messaged him about it. Lost title, or stolen?

$400 max. That's a parts bike.

JMHO
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

that's what I told him, I thought $500 was being generous, but that offer was a while ago.

If the Vin checks out good I would say,

"I could easily spend $1000 on this plus heaps of time on it, then press the start button and it still might not go, for $1000 you can get one that goes"

"Im looking for one in better condition that I'd pay more for, but the most I'd pay for this one is $200"

Then I'd promise myself to leave it as a parts bike and not spend any time trying to get it to run. I've made this promise to myself for two of the bricks I have, problem is I couldn't help myself and broke that promise both times.

If you don't get it, you've just saved yourself a heap of time.

thanks for being a non-enabler. As I get older [I'll be 67 next month] , time becomes more valuable than $. It's hard to resist a $400 brick, but I'll pass on this one. I may take a look when I visit my dad, but bikes usually look better in pics, and this ones pics already look bad.
