Front brake hose question
« on: July 01, 2020, 11:24:30 PM »
 :welcome
Please dont flame.

Lowered the front end of the 91 k100 and also did an ABS delete. Now to install a shortened one-piece brake hose. Does anyone recommend a brand or part number used?

Thanks for the help.

What happens if we flame? Do you have a fuel leak?  :laughing4-giggles:

Not easy to recommend an "off the shelf" product for something custom you are making.
I'd suggest you determine the length you need and have one made at a local machine shop/parts store. Take the old hoses with you so they can match the ends of the starting point and the ending point. Shouldn't be that difficult.

Where do you live? You should be able to order one online but you'll still need to supply to the vendor the length of the hose between the fittings plus photos of the fittings so you'll get the them with the correct angles.

I’m in Pittsburgh, who do you go through online to do this? I could get the length roughly and supply the hoses with original fittings.

Here are two online suppliers and links to pages with their brake line measuring videos—Galfer and Spiegler. Pittsburgh has many local shops capable of fabricating lines, too. Overcome your reluctance and visit one.
