What battery does the K100 take?
« on: January 10, 2023, 07:48:07 PM »
I need a replacement for my 1985 K100, any recommendations are appreciated. I would prefer one I could buy at batteries plus or somewhere in person.

FWIW, I've had a 2 poor experiences with batteries plus with odyssey pc680s. I know it's the holy grail of K bike batteries, but I had mine go bad twice and BP refused to replace it as they deemed it user error both times.

As they say: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Right now, I'm using the Duralast ETX16L. They sell them at autozone. So far so good, I recommend them.

Yikes, PC680's have gotten pricey since I bought one!  FWIW, they fit my K and Ural and I've had great luck with them, 7-8 years easily.

+1 on Westco, excellent battery and looks like price hasn't shot up like the Odyssey  https://www.beemerboneyard.com/westco12v20p.html
