My k1100 cafe
« on: January 16, 2024, 12:56:29 PM »
Just posting here for posterity.  Started life as a '93 K1100RS.  Did everything on this bike myself except the subframe welding, the exhaust welding, and the powdercoating.  Obviously there are a number of aftermarket parts on that I ordered as well.  Fabricated teh seat, the seat cowl(hides 2-up seat), the seat pad, and did all the painting as well as all mechanical myself.  LMK if any questions about air box delete, cooling system update, electric.

Also, anyone done a M-unit Blue on this bike and managed to get keyless start to work?

Btw- the exhaust collector on this failed within 3 rides and had to get it completely rewelded....you may see another post about that here in the forums.

Looks like a beaut! How's the riding position?

The riding position is wonderful...for me. I'm 6'5 tho w a long reach, so it's probably less comfy for a shorter person.
