Coburn tunnel ride
« on: April 19, 2012, 08:53:18 PM »
Rick guided me to the abandoned railroad tunnel near Poe Valley state park,Coburn,Pa. this afternoon.  Be EASY beans to ride thru it, at least for my skill set.

Great weather, zero traffic, perfect day. We explored some new sections of Bald Eagle SF. One was recently gravelized with 2 inches or more of limestone 2B. What a friggin trip, felt like real heavy snow, ass end of the bike just a fishtailing. Steep, uphill, corkscrew turns, read keep the hammer on, stand up on the pegs.

Rick had a slight mishap resulting in a tip over. NO damage other than ego. I did have to turn around and help him right the bike. Ha, he best NOT ride alone in the boonies, read a long wait/walk to get too civilization. Cell phones DO NOT work unless your on top the ridge-line.
