My tripmeter numbers have trouble staying lined up.
A year ago, I put new gears in, and after that the odometer and tripmeter worked fine. When it was time to reset the tripmeter, the 100 miles numbers and the tenths of miles number rolled together. If I turned the tripmeter knob to 99.9 miles, the next tenth would turn over to 000.0 miles.
About a month ago, as I would reset the tripmeter, the 100s of miles goes to midway between 0 and 1. The 10s of miles may go a third of the way up and stop.
I've tried to roll the reset knob backwards a little, to remove the backlash, but rolling from 99.9 it still looks like it may be 000.0 or maybe 100.0? Sometimes at 89.9, the next tenth rolls to 000.0.
