Something wrong with "Show unread posts since last visit"?
«

The last few weeks when I come here, and by "here" I mean the direct link to "
Show unread posts since last visit
" there have been zero or perhaps just one or two posts listed. At first I was thinking that activity must be dwindling down in here, but then when I click my way into the various forums there are lots of posts that I've never seen before.
So is there something funny going on with that "unread posts" thingy?

I always use
http://www.motobrick.com/index.php?action=unread
to access the forum and it works.
Make sure you're logged in.
What browser are you using?

I'm logged in, and using google chrome on linux. It used to work just fine, but something changed maybe a few weeks ago.
Come to think of it, it must have been around the time I installed some tapatalk apps on my phone... I'll bet the problem is that one or more of those apps are checking for new posts and somehow this is misinterpreted as myself having "read" those posts. I'll uninstall the apps because I hardly use them anyways, hopefully the issue will go away.

It used to never work for me and then about a year ago it started working. I have no idea why.
Magic, I think.

It works for me. The last date visited is probably stored in a cookie in your browser and updated when you next login (visit) the site. Maybe clearing cookies from motobrick.com might solve the problem.

I'd actually guess the "last date" is stored on the server under my account, so that the same set of new posts is presented regardless of where I log in from. Anyhow, I deinstalled those phone apps and things seem to be back to normal.
