Greetings from Poland
« on: January 13, 2020, 12:24:34 PM »
Hello mates.
Week ago came to my garage a new bike BMW K1100 LT. It was an online transaction with guy from Belgium.
It will be a completely new experience for me of this kind of motorcycles, because so far I've ridden ... choppers.

Bike is very neglected. It's no problem for me because rather always before I start driving bike I like to disassemble it. But in this case I am angry at the previous owner: cracked plastics, not originals screws, leaks from the front brake pump, the entire wet oil pan from below and of course no oil in the viewfinder, the starter turns but does not turn the shaft - already know thanks to your forum that this is the cause of the sprang clutch.
As you can see, I will spend a lot of hours in the garage before I push the start button.
I hope that in this forum I will meet many answers to all my questions and doubts.

Nice!  Are you sure you won't miss polishing all that chrome?

Think the fairing chop job was an attempt to reduce the k bake? Is it that hot in Poland?

In this condition, unfortunately, the motor came to me from Belgium from the previous owner.
I have no idea what caused the fairing chop. Maybe damage to the right side of the fairing by leaking brake fluid?
I hope, it will regain its splendor in my hands.
