Title: more significant than scenic
Post by: koapono on June 24, 2018, 12:17:23 PM
Just turned 100,000 miles on the 94 1100LT. I planned the ride so I'd be crossing the harrison bridge which spans the James River when the roll-over occurred. It's one of my favorite local rides, nearly 100 miles and very near my domicile. I cross the James via the bridge, head east to Jamestown, VA, ride the free ferry across the James and return home via some twisty rural roads.

I bought the 1100LT in March of 2014, it had 48,000 miles on it and I am the 3rd owner. Engine and drive-train were fine but it needed a great deal of TLC, all the rubber bits, hoses, seals, etc. SO: 52,000 miles later (4 rear ties, 2 front, all Michelin Pilot Road) it looks its age but runs "as new".

It's a keeper. Another 106,000 miles and it will have same mileage as my 85!

ride on...........

 something about watching all those nines roll over, much more satisfying than a digital panel.

 Congratulations !

I've crossed that bridge many times via VA Routes 5 and 10, got to love that open grate!  :riding:
