Just my experience and kind of a tangent but I've never needed an appointment to get a tire swapped.  I've found that if you're willing to take off your own wheel and you're traveling that most shops will find a way to squeeze you in.  Usually I'm out within a hour after I ride up out of the blue.

One of these days I'll get around to learning the correct way to snatch a wheel off the RT (so far I've been lucky with warranty paying for everything  ;)) - I've done it tons of times on all my other bikes, but for the $30 that they're gonna charge me for the whole kit and kaboodle....why should I get my hands dirty ??  ;D

Pansy.  Just get it over with and buy a HD.  ;D
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Nice find!

It wasn't a "find."  I posted over at ADV in the regionals asking where to find good camping near Stanley.

That's where the Iderho BMW Riders have their annual Stanley Stomp.

The Lolo campground is one I've stayed at a couple of times before.

Fatherland Parts Update:

Quote
Scheduled Delivery:
Thursday, 06/16/2011, By End of Day

No further updates will be available unless they are a no show or they forgot to pack something essential......

Well, everything showed up today EXCEPT the o-rings that fit under the intakes manifolds. FMRin'. So I called and got Rusty who said they were shipped with a previous order. I said, nope, that was 2 fuel lines I ordered before I even knew I needed all this other ch!t.
So, "Rose", who lives in Boston, by a FedEx facility, is going to drop them off on her way home, overnight delivery. Should be here by Sat., maybe Fri. ::)

Trail goes cold in manhunt for Montana fugitive

By NICHOLAS K. GERANIOS Associated Press
Posted: 06/16/2011 01:16:40 AM PDT
Updated: 06/16/2011 01:39:47 PM PDT

MISSOULA, Mont.—A Montana fugitive and ex-militia leader has been on the run since a Sunday shootout with deputies, but the trail has gone cold.

Missoula County Sheriff Carl Ibsen said Thursday that deputies were trying to develop leads to find David Burgert, who authorities say ran off into the Lolo National Forest after exchanging shots with deputies following a low-speed car chase.

Police think Burgert is hiding somewhere in the mountains near the Montana-Idaho border, an area of towering peaks, low brush and thick pine forests. In recent decades, this remote region has proven fertile ground for extremist groups including the Militia of Montana, the neo-Nazi Aryan Nations and many others.
Burgert once led an anti-government militia in northwestern Montana known as Project 7. It was broken up after Burgert was arrested in 2002 on weapons charges. He spent eight years in federal prison before being released in March 2010.

Well......I think that's pretty much got to hit the top of the list of reasons to "adjust" a moto-camping schedule  :o

I've changed my plans.  The campground in Montana is too far away and there's no f'n way I'm gonna ride Lolo Pass in the dark - too many f'n deer around there.  It would be sewercide.

I'm gonna stay at a BLM campground about 15 miles east of Lewiston on 12.
