That's news! Where is it attached; do you have a photo? I haven't found it on the fiche list for K75. ABS is there. I thought O2 sensors were 4-valve creatures.
Maybe you mean throttle position sensor. An O2 sensor on a K75 would be somebody's project, I'd guess. I don't know why else it would have one.

O2 sensor means it has a Motronic!  If that's true, I want to know how it was done!

Hi folks! Here's a picture of my 1985 K75RT ABS (yeah I know that's not possible but...). I bought it 2 years ago for 2000€, and can say it's the best purchase I've ever made. I added heated grips, hazard lights, and a few oil changes. And the O2 sensor, which was failing. Picked up a used one from a Gipsy in Seville for €20. Oh, and I put in a new shock absorber and new springs in the fork.

Nice bike, thanks for posting it up. Please post more pictures of sunny Spain!

So that's why it was so cheap! ;-)
OK, so I get the picture it wasn't an O2 sensor. What's the sensor that monitors the fuel injection on a K75? I can can't  understand the gizmo names in English let alone in Spanish!

I've got a fetish for taking pics of castles and motorcycles together. Most of mine are of my Royal Enfield (R.I.P.) but I have some with the K75, and will be taking plenty more this year.

The fuel injection control unit or L-Jetronic.

Have you ever run your bike's identification number through a VIN checker to verify its model and year of manufacture, Jónico?

Yep. Its VIN says it's a K75C manufacturer in late 1985. Go figure.
So now I'm curious about what bits of it are the 1985 bits and what stuff is newer. I read in the tech library here that the alternators were upgraded (from 40 to 60?) at some time, for instance...

The rear disc is not stock K75C. They were drums. The larger alternators appeared around '94. Here's a site that tells some of the story.

Did you come up with the F suffix? There's a K75F (Frankenbrick) created by a prolific contributor to K-bike sites. Your bike is unique, especially with the ABS. It seems like yours was somebody's platform for thoughtful modifications. It's a nice catch.

To my jaundiced eye, that isn't a bike that some loving owner lavished a lot of time and cash on doing upgrades.

If the bike in the photos is the bike we are talking about, there are two scenarios that come to mind.  The most likely is that someone started with a later model RT/LT that was in an accident and had a badly tweaked frame.  Then they did a transplant to a C model frame.

The second is that somebody had a hot brick that they wanted to make legal so they could sell it.  I had neighbors long ago in El Paso who had a nice little business doing just that with Hardly Fergusons.

It would be interesting to run the engine number.  From the photos, I would expect it to be from an '89 or later bike.

Either way, it's a really nice looking bike.

It certainly is an evocative photo and apparently even stimulating to some here.

Anyway, the photo was taken at a point in the ceremony when there was an interruption because the guy using two hands still couldn't find it. Idi asked for volunteers to help the guy find it. The moment was memorialized.

It's all about the interaction of a benefactor with volunteerism.
