Brown County Indiana, May 2011
« on: May 28, 2011, 11:05:40 AM »
Last weekend, my wife and me, along some of our riding friends went down to Brown County Indiana...
One day down, two there and a day back for 1056 miles...
We stayed at the Story Inn, in Story Indiana...not cheap, but the ladies liked it...so good times!
Some pics....

Us before we left...

Meeting our friends...

Breakfast before we leave...of course...

Main street, Story...

The view from our room above the restaurant...

Dinner...

Heading out from the inn...

The fun stuff...

One of many rest stops...

And what trip wouldn't be complete without a little steam...

southern indiana is where i have the most moto miles... my greatgranddaddy had an orchard near maumee indiana on the salt creek...

we used to go with the family down the 135 from greenwood indiana every other weekend for years... then when i scored my 1980 honda 750k.. my 1st k bike.. me and my moto buddies tore that place up... we owned story n the surrounding areas...

3 years ago i rode to indy then to rydors in illinois... i rode through there again... but was in a hurry... really diggs the area down there... thanks for the ride along...

Magnecor?
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

BobT, Mystic, and anyone else familiar with the Southern Indiana area: any recommendations as for cool spots down there, be them food, camping, or good roads? I'm head out there on Thursday for a extended weekend...

Thanks.

Thanks.

The whole Brown County area is pretty good...I don't know specific roads or lunch stops as I've only been there twice, and both times I traveled with someone who knew the area...
I just followed and had fun.  I do know that the longest or one of the longest covered bridges in the Midwest is there somewhere...
Somewhere I have some maps the organizer of the ride put out.  If I find them, I'll post them up.
