Plenum to TB bushings
« on: March 09, 2024, 12:49:49 PM »
I’m sure the resounding response will be yes, but if my bike has 108k, no records of them being replaced, would you replace them?  I have the bushings and new clamps, and I know it’s not a difficult job.

If it were my Brick, I'd say No unless I already had new replacements, knew it was a simple job, and had time on my hands to do it.  :laughing4-giggles:

Something about letting sleeping dogs lie comes to mind.

No. And it is more difficult than you think it is, especially the large hose clamp on the back of the plenum.

They usually don't wear and leak because they are not subjected to extreme heat cycles like the boots below the throttle bodies are.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
