Right away I noticed the more comfortable ride, with the air diverted to just barely at the top of my helmet. I'm 5' 10" tall. Parabellum asked for my height when recommend which windshield.
You can't see in the picture, but I installed All Balls Racing steering head bearings. I think they were $36. Between Clymer, this site, and Chris Harris YouTube videos, it was not that bad of a job.
If you look closely, you can see that the fairing and front fender do not match the color on the rest of the bike. Advance Auto has spray (rattle) cans of a Chrysler car color called Inferno Red Mica Metallic for $10 which I used after having to do some fairing and fender fiberglass repair after a parking lot incident with a farm jack on a jeep. The jeep guy made it right, and I already had a fairing crack from a previous owner.
Maybe next winter, I'll pull the fairing and fender, and get the right BMW color to match?
