Any issue with turning the suspension unit upside down?

The OEM shock as well as the Progressive 412 cannot be used upside down

What is meant by "upside down?" Shaft up, or shaft down?

Progressive's site seems to indicate the 412 mounts shaft up. My 465 instructions were for shaft up also.
