Hello from NYC
« on: December 31, 2022, 10:09:18 AM »
Just picked up my first k bike, a 1989 k75rt from Germany. My first k bike, coming from an r90/6. Excited to start the maintenance foundation and to start putting down some miles.

Welcome!

Bike looks pretty good.  Somebody took the fairing off and put on a nice shield.  Makes the bike a lot easier to handle since the fairing makes things kinda top heavy.  What is the brand of that tank bag?

I've found K's to be much less maintenance intensive than R's, though R's tend to have more character.  Hopefully yours has had decent care for the last 33 years, if so it should run forever!

I like the look of this fairing a lot more than stock as well, and I hope it's a little more breezy for my legs in the summer. The tank bag is a givi, a little worse for wear, but my other tank bag is magnetic which obviously won't work here.

 :welcome Radioshack!

Happy to see another rider coming from an airhead! I came from an R65 myself.
