Insane in the brain m.brane was kind enough to give me a private tour of the Santa Monica alps prior to Twisty Bovine III....  we had a fantastic day and I have several new roads checked off my list including Mulholland Hwy, Tuna Canyon, Latigo Canyon, Westlake, Potrero and a bunch more... :2thumbup:  The day started at 9 am at the Rock Store....

m.brane wore his sprocket shirt in my honor...  :2thumbup:

We held to the spirit of twisty bovine... I had the tri tip and m.brane had the pastrami....  can't remember the name of our lunch place but they had excellent sandwiches.

After lunch we stopped at the snake to play and take some pics...

Random dewd on the snake...

m.brane showed me the back way to Santa Paula so I could avoid the dreaded 101 > 126 drone...  then we ran into a really shady character at the Chevron....  not sure what to think of him but he had a weird name...  Booie Brickus Turkus or some such nonsense...  thank you Alan for a fantastic day!

I'm home! What a great effing ride. Thanks, Boviners!

Finally got to use my bivy and sleeping bag at the rest stop on the way up Mt Shasta. Rolled into the driveway at about 5.

Yeah, we were a little too occupied at that moment ... wish I had my video running for it tho, would have been pretty damning evidence against that mother fucker.

But .. I did have my video running other times.  First video is the goat road ... or un-goat road.

It's this thing http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0056SOA48/ plus a 15-degree sleeping bag. I put the sleeping bag inside the bivy at home. Pulled it out of the blue bag, removed some clothing, slipped-in and fell fast asleep.

Any idea what set the road rager off. I passed a guy once and the next thing I know he was passing me on a blind corner, going over a rise, giving me the finger... LOL.

20 over the limit wasn't enough most likely.  His driving was very erratic.  Even before this as I watched him I was thinking he need to go back to driving school. Tail gating, speeding up and slowing down, weaving back and forth into the on coming lane, passing on the shoulder, he hit most of the biggies including that crossing the double yellow and trying to hit me head on when I came back around after he stopped in the middle of the highway with 15+ vehicles behind him. He was acting like a jackass to everyone, not just us, we were the ones that signaled him to back off. "How dare you tell me what to do" was probably his issue.  The only smart thing he did was not get out of his car.

more ca 58... where is all the leatherlyke today... guess its gonna be a day of riding not droning...

this is the world famous rossis driveway... ca 229... its 7 miles of 1 lane twistys... moes driveway in the san gabriel mountains is twice as long and is twice as twisty... it has been noted that no 3/4 helmets or fingerless gloves have been seen on either...
