rear wheel gs 1150

so.. i have been wading through posts about rear wheel fitment for a k100 . on the k100 wheel the disc is mounted to the diff and the gs wheels the disc is mounted on the wheel, so my question today is if you remove the disc from the k100 does the gs fit if you change the caliper?
sorry if this is a repetative question and your probably bored with reading it but give us a break!

sooooo... i manage to score a front and rear wheel from a gs 1150 and although the rear fits with the whole pattern the centre hub is smaller and there is a sizable offset! (see pictures of original wheel and new gs wheel) would a gs 1150 final drive make any difference to the offset? other than that i reckon it would be possible to mill 10mm of the hub, also i could'nt fit the wheel bolts with the chamfered spacers. would mounting the disc on the wheel instead of the hub help?
any info gratefully received!

just as an experiment i removed the rear disc from the final drive and this has reduced the offset by about 5mm, its down to about 14mm.  i'm now thinking about getting a gs 1150 rear disc and wheel mounting it to see what the clearence is to the caliper. if anyones got and old knackered one, gissa shout!
i spoke to rory at GIA Spondon this afternoon and he confirm that there is plenty of material on the hub so milling 10mm off won't be an issue and he has sorted me out with an engineer that can do the work

On my K1100 I used the final drive cover, brake, and caliper from the GS1150 as well as the wheel mounted disc.
