The Motobrick Workshop / Re: I need to repair my RT Fairing

Welcome, Adam. Thanks for the photos.

Your chances of finding a new, blue RT fairing are bumping zero if not overlapping it. [/i] Here's a link to competent instruction. Read the section in the Workshop about how to effectively search the world famous MOTOBRICK.COM.

Please tell us about your moto: how long you've owned it, how many miles are on it and how much you've ridden it. Good luck with your repair.

The Motobrick Workshop / I need to repair my RT Fairing

Here's the bike:

When I took the fairing apart for a complete end to end maintenance:

I noticed this:

I purchased a brand new metal harness from eBay for $150 and I purchased some Plast-Aid to make the repair.

Is there a guide here on how to repair this to make it like new again? Tips? Ideas? Thoughts?

Should I just purchase a new blue RT fairing completely, move over the turn signals and headlight and windscreen motor and use that instead for the best scenario?

Hey Johnny,

Taillight and rear end including seat will eventually be for sale, i just haven't figured out what my plans for the rear are just yet. I guess if i have a buyer i could speed things up a bit..

If you're not concerned on color, I have a 91 K100LT bike with a rear end that i could take off much sooner if you're looking for a rear asap. Color is burnt orange. I've added a picture to show you the exact color. This is the rear storage compartment which is also for sale.

Now why would one be wanting to sell all their fairing pieces?

And a loop quivers in fear.

Thx for the bump

This k1100 engine is sitting in my basement taken from a running 1994 K1100 LT. If you live close to Astoria, OR and can come pick it up, we can come to an agreement to make it worth you time and money. I have absolutely no need for it now and want to see it put to some use.

Donation submitted to motobrick.com

So what can you dust off and sell to support Motobrick.com???

I suspect many use it and few financially support it.

As I have refilled the system it also filled the radiator audibly, so I guess the faulty gasket is not sealing at all, or it does so very little.
<translate on>Yo Bro! I fill the rad with fluid and it made a nice gurgling sound as it filled up. Probably means the passages are clear. Dog, gonna take a chance the RTV stuff didn't mess up my rad.<translate off>
Please turn it back on, and leave it on. :giggles

I've had a couple jiggle siphons, one worked great and 2 others were pretty much garbage.  Don't remember which brands were which.
