Hello guys. I just bought some “fuel injection cleaner” for my 1993 K75 because the previous owner recommended adding fuel injection cleaner occasionally. I was about to add it and noticed my Clymer manual says, “Do not add any lubricants, preservatives or additives to the gasoline as fuel system corrosion or clogging may result”. I hate to beat a dead horse on this because volumes have been written touting the benefits of numerous products (Techron, Berryman's B-12, Seafoam, Super Tech, Stabil, Marvel mystery oil, Mopar Top End Cleaner, STP to name a few). Just curious if I should heed an authority like Clymer and take it back or go ahead and use it.
Ps. It currently has 50K miles and runs like a top.
