Hello, back from a break from bikes
« on: June 28, 2020, 12:26:06 PM »
First time K owner here, long time rider/bike-re-arranger.  I had 17 different bikes between 2012 and 2016-ish, some I rebuilt, some I rode the heck out of, some I never rode, some I flipped, but mostly just got bikes that tickled my fancy and did something with them. Highlights were a couple of 70's Kawasaki KZ's, '09 triumph speed triple, and my favorite until now a '76 goldwing that I stripped back.  I stopped messing with bikes from a touch of boredom and also because I wanted my toy vehicle to not be limited to two wheels or one season. So I got into cars, mostly BMW and shortbed chevy trucks. I'd been sort of rebuilding an 88 BMW E28 over the last few months and someone in my neighborhood stopped by to check out the car and have a chat - he happened to be on a BMW k100 - needless to say it stoked the two wheel lust again.  A week or two later I found and rode rode one home. It's a fairly nice 90 K100LT.

After a day or two and a set of bars, and not-quite-the-right-headlight

Fairings and hard bags are up for grabs - I'll post in the appropriate place.

Happy to be back on two wheels, it seems like a great bike, and happy to be part of this interesting forum.

What section of the Hoosier state? I'm in SE IL, not too far from Evansville.

Hey Milq, I'm east central Indiana where good roads are few and far between.
