Gear Indicator is Reversed
« on: July 20, 2014, 12:43:46 PM »
:yow I reinstalled my Instrument Panel.  Everything is working correctly except the gear indicator.  First Gear is now showing a " 5".  I would appreciate any suggestions on what I can do to correct the problem.

You have probably bad connection at the yellow/white wire at pin #2 at the cluster connector.
Then you would have strange numbers in all gears exept #4.

Thank you.  I will pull the cluster connector and inspect.

The problem could of course be elsewhere in this circuit, but most likely at the cluster connector as you
just had it reinstalled.
The yellow/white wire should be connected to ground (at the gearbox switch) in all gears (also neutral)
exept fourth and fifth.

Hello Norway, home of the World Chess Champion Magnus Carlson!  Thank you for the help, my cluster is repaired.  Have a great week.
