Turkus Is No Longer With Us
« on: September 04, 2014, 11:00:02 AM »
with great sadness i am here to inform you that turkus aka bruce laidlaw... the rider of the brickus turkus... is no longer with us...

i met turkus at browns bmw in pomona ca... he said aints you johnny owrstrich... he told me he was looking at  internet motorcycle forums and saw my ride reports...

he was motoless and was thinking abouts the 1200rt motoboxer... wanted to know what i thought... i told him i would rather push a motobrick than ride a motoboxer...

he went on to buy that motoboxer that day and we quickly became riding friends... turkus recently sold his motoboxer and gotta 750s motobrick earlier this year...

so long for now turkus... we will see you on the other side...

This is sad.

I'm glad I had the chance to ride a bit with him.

I am very sorry to hear this...I was not privileged to have met him but read some of his postings.
I shall pray that God grants peace to his loved ones in their sorrow..
Rest in Peace, Turkus.

Very sad news indeed. Like Bokobob, I never had the pleasure to meet him but read his contributions to this board.  RIP.

Oh man...this sucks...I really liked that old fart. Gave me a big ol man hug the first time I met him. In front of McKittrick burrito store at the start of TBDII.

Thx for keeping us in the loop johnny...

I'm too new here to really know any of the "Regulars"....I just know by one's postings who they are.  But from my past experiences in my life, he must of been truly a part of the Band of Brothers here...
