Been riding my Honda NC700x since I sold my K75s and moved back to FL. It's a nice ride but I miss my brick. There's an RT that is reasonably priced about 2.5 hrs from me. Thinking about taking a look, but while the RT fairing is probably nice when it's cold, it's mostly hot here. So just wondering how hard it is to swap out the fairing for one with less coverage and or removing it in the spring/summer/fall. Looks like the headlight/fairing/turn sig are part of the fairing. I don't want to bake on it in the summer.advice?

never mind, it sold. seller was asking $1800. sold in 1 day, not to me.

I'd wait for another S or unfaired K to show up. Removing the fairing on an RT for the summer would be a pita, at least in my opinion. Low price on that RT, wonder if it had issues.

Although there seem to be RT and RS models faithfully ridden in the unrelenting heat of some parts of Australia, a naked K or one with just a windshield has got to be more comfortable in a hot, humid climate, if you don't mind a thorough drenching by rain.

I think it had about 30k, and seller said no issues. guess that's why it sold so quick

The fairing is pretty hot. That is why my RT gets used mostly between the end of September and the middle of June here in New York State. The rest of the year I ride my RS and K75S.
The price probably reflects the fact that RT/LT models are only popular with the cappuccino crowd these days. I suspect the new owner will be signing up here in the near future to ask the typical questions about retrofitting his Acewell speedo to the TGPI.

That's ok, Martin. Don't get beemuker snarled in a technical challenge. If it's True Ace's, it's a K75S in BMW's Urine Test Ochre color scheme. They all look alike. :giggles

Cold isn't the problem, Martin. It's the greasy mud until the roads freeze, and it's the salt on the blacktop. The bike is tucked away in the shop; I'm cleaning my guns and chainsaws. :giggles

And making large pine boxes. :yow Have you tried whittling the winter away I believe it's very therapeutic and a good cure for dark souls. I personally find it therapeutic as you know to sit under a palm tree, could you not try a fir tree.

Ace is probably the best seller you could have found. He seems to take good care of his bikes.
It's lighter and a cooler ride in hot weather than the K1. So what if it attracts fruitflies? Florida already has lovebugs. Accessory badges are still available!
