That was quick!
« on: June 17, 2023, 10:55:08 PM »
been sorta half assed trying to sell my old K, finally replaced the dry rotted front tire, fixed some leaks, fresh oil and gas and took it on a 50 mile ride, it done good. I priced it to reflect what I could get for parts, it really is on it's last legs.  As a joke I put it on my FB page (not marketplace) with disclaimer it was pretty much worn out but ran.  Sold in about a minute to an old friend who tends to hoard old bikes, sidecars, jeeps and cars. He'll probably resell it.  thought I'd have mixed feelings but really ready to see it go, it's been a great ride and I've gotten back tenfold what I put into her.  Auf Wiedersehen old girl!

not quite, he hasn't made arrangements to pick it up yet.  And I'll still have BMW's illegitimate twice removed bastard step son, the Ural.  My new one is almost as advanced as the old brick, with triple discs and FI, unlike my 2012 Ural which made the much older brick seem space age.
